《英雄的黎明》主要讲述刘备的早期辛苦创业史，《燃烧的长江》以赤壁之战前因后果为主，《辽阔的大地》是蜀地、荆州的争夺和后期诸葛亮的苦苦撑持，三部分构成一部以蜀汉历史为主的三国画卷，在详细描述战争的同时，更注重乱世中的人性刻画与英雄形象的塑造。’The Dawn of Heroes’ mainly tells the story of Liu Bei’s early struggles in building his career. ‘The Burning Yangtze’ focuses on the causes and consequences of the Battle of Red Cliffs. ‘The Vast Land’ covers the battles over Shu and Jing provinces and the later struggles of Zhuge Liang to keep things together. These three parts together form a kind of Three Kingdoms picture scroll centered on the history of Shu Han, and while they go into detail about the wars, they also pay more attention to human nature in chaotic times and the shaping of heroic characters.
