After the squad is ambushed, they are rescued by anti-Soviet fighter Jihad. Pete attempts to maintain the highway’s security by exploiting the long-standing feud between tribal leader Bash and Jihad, but acts of violent revenge trigger a vicious cycle. In the end, both sides are annihilated amidst artillery fire, and the celebration meant to symbolize peace is reduced to ruins. Through three interwoven narrative threads—military operations, sniper tactics, and land disputes—the film portrays the erosion of moral conscience and the intractable conflicts inherent in modern warfare.
