该片根据天下霸唱创作的小说《鬼吹灯之精绝古城》改编，讲述了在1979年的昆仑山发现神秘生物骸骨，由胡八一率领的探险队深入昆仑山腹地寻找古生物遗迹更多秘密，在探秘过程中遭到神秘生物轮番攻击意外坠入九层妖塔的故事。The film is adapted from the novel ‘Candle in the Tomb: The Ancient City of Jingjue’ by Tianxia Bachang. It tells the story of a mysterious creature’s remains being discovered in the Kunlun Mountains in 1979. Led by Hu Bayi, an expedition team ventures deep into the Kunlun Mountains to uncover more secrets of ancient creatures. During the exploration, they are attacked repeatedly by mysterious creatures and unexpectedly fall into the Nine-Layer Demon Tower.
