While tidying up the house, they accidentally trigger a dark ritual left behind by the previous owner, causing a sealed hellish creature to return to the human world. As the monster wreaks havoc, the characters experience a series of bloody killings. The film gradually depicts the spread of the horror through the perspectives of supporting characters, such as dispatcher Marge (played by Veronica Orr) and the landscaper (played by Jerry Angell).
