影片讲述民国女法医清伶（王真儿饰）为调查弟弟杜家豪（韩栋饰）在上水镇被水猴子残忍杀害的事件，深入隐藏水怪传说的村庄。在调查过程中，清伶意外揭开自身身世谜团，发现所谓的水猴子实为其失散多年、被恶势力控制的亲弟弟清河，最终姐弟亲情唤醒了人性，共同反抗恶势力。The movie tells the story of Qingling (played by Wang Zhen’er), a female forensic doctor from the Republican era, who investigates the brutal murder of her brother Du Jiahao (played by Han Dong) by a water monkey in Shangshui Town. She dives into a village shrouded in water monster legends. During the investigation, Qingling accidentally uncovers the mystery of her own origins and discovers that the so-called water monkey is actually her long-lost younger brother Qinghe, who has been controlled by evil forces. In the end, the siblings’ bond awakens his humanity, and together they fight back against the evil forces.
