It tells the story of how, after Magellan, Juan Sebastián Elcano led the fleet to break through the Portuguese blockade and sailed west from Seville in search of the Spice Islands. The fleet faced trials like Atlantic storms, hunger, and conflicts with tribes, and of the original five ships, only the ‘Victoria’ completed the world’s first circumnavigation three years later.
